Fairford was identified as a ‘principal settlement’ by Cotswold District Council, which means it is considered a viable location for strategic growth, in response to a requirement from the government for a 94% increase in housing delivery in the district. And given the restrictions in much of the Cotswolds due to land designations, there are relatively few areas (16% of the district) where strategic growth is possible. Fairford Town Council are very aware of this and we have been open with them about our ability to promote Trust owned land.
