Opening the outdoors to all

We inspire a love and understanding of the natural world, future farming and sustainability, creating a diverse outdoors where people and places flourish.

Our Communities programmes aim to open the outdoors to all, as we recognise that not everyone is starting from the same place on their journey to nature connection and environmental engagement, nor is there equity of access to nature and green spaces for all.

By identifying, reducing or removing the barriers to access where possible, we help facilitate Outdoor Learning, while building communities of support around children, young people and young adults.

All our activities aim to improve the wellbeing of participants, working to the 5 Ways of Wellbeing framework, shown below. Here’s how our programmes achieved this in the year 2022/23:
