Since announcing our proposed acquisition of Low Beckside Farm in Cumbria on 5 July, the media has been avidly reporting this good news story across local, national and industry sector publications.
In a week that saw the nation celebrate major sporting milestones, so the Outdoor Learning sector and the agricultural community celebrated the saving of this former Newton Rigg farm, a valuable local resource and important centre for Outdoor Learning in the north of England.
There have been multiple requests for interviews, messages of support, and interest from individuals and organisations seeking to work collaboratively with the Trust. Local Member of Parliament Dr Neil Hudson gave his support to the farm’s purchase and will work alongside the Trust to help secure its future as an Outdoor Learning centre.
