Ian joined the Trustees in Autumn 2022 and brings a wealth of first-hand farming experience to the board. He founded the UK’s national farm open day – Open Farm Sunday – in 2006, and runs his own charity, The Farmschool. Ian set up a business park for microbusinesses in his own farmyard, and in 2015, was awarded the OBE for his services to agricultural and countryside education. Ian sits on the Food Ethics Council, the CLA Policy Committee, is a UK representative of the Global Farmer Network, and a member of the Agricultural Forum.
